PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

PRESIDENT - AWA Mechanical, Inc. - Baltimore, MD - 1994 to Present

  • Responsible for the direct estimating, bidding and installation of a wide array of simple to complex design build and engineered mechanical projects in both the private and government sectors.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN/INSTALLATION - Smith Refrigeration, Inc. Baltimore 10/79

  • Installed and serviced ultra-low temperature (-2000 and below ) as well as medium temperature equipment, including the following: screw compressors, rotary vane compressors, multi-speed compressors, small package ammonia systems cascade refrigeration systems and C02 and related vapor recovery equipment. Service, install and maintain commercial and industrial air conditioning systems. Other duties include refrigerant recovery and retrofitting. Makes use of EIL, EMC and other energy management systems.

REFRIGERATION MECHANIC - Harvey W. Hottel, Inc. Rockville, MD 4/79 - 10/79

  • Installed and serviced refrigeration and ice machines, low Temperature and medium temperature walk-in boxes.

AIR CONDITION TECHNICIAN - Movalco, Inc. Forestville, MD 9/77 - 3/79

  • Fabricated and installed ductwork systems, installed and connected HVAC systems, wired control circuits to both DC and AC operating controls on heat pumps and conventional systems. Provided field technical support to OEM equipment, Carrier, York, Bryant and BDP. Performed tear down and installation of centrifugal water chillers from 150 to 1000 tons.

AVIONICS TECHNICIAN/REFRIGERATION MECHANIC - United States Marine Corp. 9/73 - 9/77

  • Serviced electronic controls, hydraulic controls, aviation engines and cryogenic systems aboard military aircraft as well as ships. Received an Honorable Discharge.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Literate in EIL, EMC, EPC and Altec process controllers.
